Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt have both won only one of their three Champions League ties so far this season, but the home side look primed to come out on top in Tuesday’s encounter at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Both teams remain in the playoffs and there’s been no shortage of drama in their six European games. Napoli were stunned 6-2 by PSV Eindhoven in their last European tie, but Tuesday’s game in Naples should play into their hands.
Antonio Conte’s team have not lost at home all season, winning six of their seven games. They have scored two or more goals in four of those fixtures and they should be able to entertain their supporters in midweek.
Frankfurt have scored in all of their seven away matches in all competitions, but they have only won one of their last seven ties.
All three of Frankfurt’s games have finished 5-1 and they do not look like improving their defensive frailties anytime soon. In their 14 fixtures in all competitions this season, at least four goals have been scored in ten of those matches and Napoli should outclass them in Naples.
