Lyon Backed to Pile More Misery on Brest
Lyon are the best bet to win away at Brest on Sunday. The hosts have been poor at home, with just one win in five games, while Lyon have won two of their last five on the road.
They are sixth in Ligue 1, eight places and ten points above Brest, with six wins from their ten games this season. The hosts are 14th with just two victories so far.
Brest lost 1-0 to Le Havre on Wednesday, extending their losing run. They have now lost four of the six games this season in which they’ve shipped the first goal (67%). Brest were priced at 7/4 to win the game but suffered a defeat.
The hosts have been struggling to find the back of the net, with Brest failing to score in three of their last four Ligue 1 games. Lyon, on the other hand, are in fine form going forward – they have scored in 38 of their last 40 league matches and have scored at least twice in each of their last three.
The home side’s defence has looked vulnerable. Brest have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 league games and have conceded an average of 1.8 goals per game at home this season.
The home fans haven’t had much to cheer about in recent games. Brest have not won in four Ligue 1 games and have lost their last two matches.
Lyon can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Four of Brest’s last five Ligue 1 games have ended with at least one of the sides failing to score and Lyon have beaten Brest by a single goal in two of their last three clashes.
