Both teams to score has landed in a number of Barcelona’s latest outings and that looks the best bet when they host Elche at Estadi Olimpic on Sunday. Barcelona have scored in 48 of their last 50 league games and have scored in all ten of their games this season.
Barcelona are six places above Elche in the table, but both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season. The visitors are eighth with three wins, five draws and two defeats, while Barcelona are second with seven wins, one draw and two losses.
Barcelona have won the last eight Primera Liga head-to-heads with Elche and, while their recent form reads as four wins and two defeats in their last six games, Elche have failed to win any of their last five away games.
Barcelona dominated possession in their 2-1 loss to Real Madrid last weekend, having 68.4% of the ball, but they were unable to make the most of their chances. 75% of the goals that Barcelona have conceded this season have come before the break. The game maintained Barcelona’s run of matches with both teams scoring.
Both teams have been struggling at the back. Barcelona have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last six home games, while Elche have conceded on all five of their away days this season.
