The best bet is both teams to score in Saturday’s West Yorkshire derby between Bradford and Huddersfield at Valley Parade. The hosts were 3-1 losers to Doncaster last weekend and there should be goals at both ends in this one.
Huddersfield are third in League One, two places above fifth-placed Bradford, but separated by just one point. Both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season, with Huddersfield winning five and Bradford four of their seven matches.
Bradford beat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 in their last League One home game two weeks ago, while Huddersfield have lost their last two on the road. However, they have won five of their last seven in the league.
Huddersfield have scored in all seven of their League One games this season, and in all three of their league away games. Four of their last five on the road have seen both teams score.
Both teams are in form going forward. Bradford have scored two goals or more in four of their seven League One games this season, while no team has more goals than Huddersfield’s 14 in the same number of matches.
The 2-1 away win for Huddersfield looks a decent correct-score bet. No team has played more games in League One this season in which both teams have found the net than Bradford, and Huddersfield have won two of their last three league games by a single goal.
