Bruce’s side to win on the road
Blackpool are the best bet to win at Northampton on Saturday. Steve Bruce’s side can get the better of Kevin Nolan’s team at Sixfields.
These two teams are close together in the table, with just three points separating them, but both have lost more games than they have won this season. Northampton, in 16th, have won two and lost three of their six games, while Blackpool are 22nd with one win and four defeats.
Blackpool have kept clean sheets in the last three League One meetings with Northampton, and have shut out the Cobblers in six of the last seven encounters.
They have lost four of their last six games, but they have a good record in this fixture, having lost just one of their last seven League One meetings with Northampton. The visitors are the form team though, having won in two straight league games.
With fewer than three goals in six of Northampton’s last seven League One games, this could be a tight affair. A narrow 1-0 win for Blackpool looks the best bet.
