Osasuna Backed to Halt Slide Against Fragile Sociedad
Osasuna are out of form coming into this game, but they might be the value bet to turn things around when they host Real Sociedad at El Sadar on Saturday.
Real Sociedad are two places above Osasuna in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Real Sociedad sit 14th with three wins and five defeats, while Osasuna are 16th with three wins and seven losses.
Osasuna lost 1-0 two weeks ago to an out-of-form Sevilla side who had been on a run of three straight Primera Liga defeats. Osasuna were priced as 12/5 outsiders to win the game and suffered a narrow defeat.
Real Sociedad’s defence has been far from watertight of late. The visitors have failed to keep a clean sheet in 18 of their last 20 Primera Liga games and have conceded in all six of their away days this season.
Their struggles on the road continue, with no wins in their last ten away games in the Primera Liga, including six this season.
A narrow 1-0 win for Osasuna looks the best correct-score option. Five of their last seven league games have ended with under 2.5 goals and two of the last three head-to-heads with Real Sociedad have seen Osasuna win by the odd goal.
