More goals for high-flying Depor
Cordoba’s 2-2 draw with Malaga last weekend suggests there should be goals in Sunday’s clash with Deportivo La Coruna at Estadio Nuevo Arcangel, and backing over 2.5 goals looks the best bet.
Deportivo are second in the league, six places above Cordoba, and both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season. The visitors have six wins to their two defeats, while Cordoba have won five and lost three of their 13 games.
Cordoba have gone eight straight games unbeaten in La Liga 2, with their last defeat coming to FC Andorra in September. Deportivo are on a good run too, having won their last two matches, including a 2-0 win away at Real Zaragoza two weeks ago.
The visitors have looked vulnerable in defence. Deportivo have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last six La Liga 2 games against Cordoba.
Seven of Deportivo’s 13 matches in the league this season have produced over 2.5 goals.
Both sides have been finding the net regularly. Cordoba have scored in 18 of their last 19 league games and have scored at least twice in three successive La Liga 2 games.
Deportivo have found the net in ten of their last 11 games and have scored three or more goals in four of their 13 matches this season.
There should be goals at both ends in this one, with 2-2 appealing as a correct-score pick. Cordoba drew 2-2 against Malaga in their last La Liga 2 game and there have been four goals or more in five of their 13 matches this season.
