Hungary could potentially guarantee second place in World Cup qualifying Group F on Thursday with a victory in Armenia, depending on how Republic of Ireland fare in a later kick off against Portugal.
Hungary are in a strong position and they have a chance to put pressure on their rivals due to the fact their game takes place earlier, and it is an opportunity they are unlikely to pass up.
Armenia aren’t completely out of the running themselves but they have been generally poor during qualification. They do have three points on the board thanks to a win over the Irish, but they have lost all of their other games without scoring and that is their only win in their last eight games – losing six of those.
Hungary have two wins and just one loss in their last five games and they look capable of winning fairly comfortably in Yerevan.
