Goals in short supply at Holker Street
There might not be too much action in Saturday’s League Two clash between Barrow and Barnet at Holker Street. There have been under 2.5 goals in Barnet’s last four league games and the recommended bet is to go under the goals.
Barnet are fifth places above Barrow in the table, with three points separating the two teams. The visitors, who have won six of their 13 games this season, are tenth, while Barrow are in 15th place, having won five times.
Barrow come into this game off the back of a 2-1 win over Walsall last weekend, which extended their unbeaten run to five games – their longest run without defeat this season. Barnet have also been in good form, winning four of their last six League Two matches, including a 2-1 win over Crewe.
Barnet lost 1-0 to Notts County last weekend in their last League Two outing and will have been frustrated to lose, having restricted Notts County to one shot on target. The game kept up Barnet’s run of matches with under 2.5 goals. They were priced at 21/20 to win the game.
The visitors have been impressive defensively away from home this season, conceding just four goals in six games – an average of 0.67 goals per game.
Under 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in four of Barrow’s last six League Two home games, while there has been fewer than three goals in six of Barnet’s last seven away games.
It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking like a decent correct-score bet. Barnet’s last two League Two draws both ended in a 1-1 scoreline and there is no reason why this game cannot finish with the same result.
