A late goal from James Tavernier was required to earn a 2-2 home draw with Dundee United on Saturday and the club seems in limbo following Russell Martin’s sacking with Steven Smith in temporary charge.
One win in 11 games tells its own story and it is tough to see them arresting that slump when they head to Norway to face Brann on Thursday.
Brann are solid on their own patch
While Rangers have been struggling, there have been encouraging signs for the Norwegians in the Europa League and they have already beaten Utrecht and put up a strong show before being beaten by a late Olivier Giroud goal in Lille.
They have been beaten just once in the league in 12 home matches this season and won their last five on their own patch, so a victory for the hosts looks the way to go here, with a 2-1 Brann success of potential interest to correct-score punters.
