Another win for solid Leipzig
After kicking off their season with a 6-0 drubbing against Bayern Munich, there were some early fears for RB Leipzig. The club had regressed last term, leaving them without European football. Red Bull’s hiring of Jurgen Klopp to run their gaggle of clubs cast a shadow over new Leipzig boss Ole Werner.
However, Werner has quickly turned things around, with his side moving third in the Bundesliga after securing 13 points from their last five games. A draw with second-placed Borussia Dortmund last week has left Leipzig as a side who are clearly not at the level of the Bundesliga’s very best, but they have won all four clashes with the sides below them.
Their improved defensive record has seen them pick up three wins to nil. They can add to that against newly promoted Hamburg, who have failed to score across their three away trips this term.
Hamburg have only scored in home meetings with two of the bottom three, while they meet a Leipzig side who have conceded only 13 shots on target across their last five games. With the hosts hitting a good run of form while controlling games, back them to secure a win and a clean sheet.
