Goals Likely When Oxford Host Derby
Oxford are at home to Derby in the Championship on Saturday, and the best bet is both teams to score.
Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, with 22nd-placed Oxford having won one and Derby, who sit 20th, two. They have five and three defeats respectively from their nine games.
Oxford have won just one of their last seven Championship home games, while Derby are struggling to get wins, having failed to win nine of their last ten games. However, Derby have only lost one of their last seven away games.
Derby drew 1-1 with Southampton in their last Championship match two weeks ago, and the game kept up the recent trend of matches with both teams scoring. Derby had been 23/10 outsiders to win the game.
Neither side has been solid at the back. Oxford have failed to keep a clean sheet in all four of their home games this season, while Derby have conceded 15 goals in nine Championship matches – an average of 1.67 goals per game.
Both teams to score has been a winner in Derby’s last three Championship games and Oxford may be able to edge them out in a 2-1 home win.
