Sheffield United should be backed to beat Charlton at Bramall Lane on Saturday in Chris Wilder’s return to the dugout. The visitors have not been great going forward this season and a United victory looks the best bet.
Sheffield United are bottom of the Championship table, with five defeats from their opening five games, while Charlton are 18th with one win, two draws and two losses. They are six places above United and have five points more than them but Wilder’s third stint as the helm is likely to bring about a positive reaction from all those connected with the Blades.
With the Championship averaging 2.7 goals a game this season, a 2-1 home win is the correct-score pick, and Sheffield United may be able to edge out Charlton in what should be an entertaining encounter.
