Augsburg Set to Punish St Pauli’s Home Struggles
Augsburg are the best bet to win at St Pauli on Sunday. The hosts have managed just one victory in their last nine home games in the Bundesliga and St Pauli have gone five home games without a win.
Augsburg finished 12th in the league last season, one place above St Pauli. Augsburg ended the season with 43 points, while St Pauli managed just 32.
Augsburg lost 3-2 to Bayern Munich two weeks ago in their last Bundesliga outing. The result was no surprise with Bayern priced at 1/4 to win the game.
The hosts’ recent form has been poor, with St Pauli failing to win six of their last seven Bundesliga games.
The home side look poor defensively. St Pauli have conceded in 13 of their last 16 Bundesliga home games and it’s been five games since they last kept out their opponents.
Augsburg to win 2-0 away looks a decent correct-score bet. Four of St Pauli’s last six Bundesliga games have ended with at least one of the sides failing to score and they sustained seven 2-0 losses in last season’s competition.
