Peterborough’s clash with Barnsley at London Road on Sunday promises goals.
Peterborough have scored 38 and conceded 40 times in 21 league matches this season while there have been 62 goals scored in Barnsley’s 22 League One games.
Barnsley are ten places and nine points above Peterborough in the table. Barnsley are seventh with nine wins, six draws and seven defeats while the hosts are 17th with seven wins, three draws and 11 losses.
Barnsley come into this game in better form. The Tykes beat Bolton 2-1 on Thursday while Peterborough have lost their last two League One matches.
Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in eight of Peterborough’s 12 League One home games this season and eight of their last nine at London Road have had three or more goals.
Peterborough’s struggles at the back will be a concern for their manager Darren Ferguson. The hosts have gone 14 games without keeping a clean sheet at home in League One and have failed to keep out the opposition in 24 of their last 25 matches in front of their own fans.
With both sides looking capable of finding the net, a 2-2 draw is an appealing correct-score pick. These two teams finished level in their last League One meeting and another high-scoring draw looks possible.
