Marcelino’s Villarreal are making a late push for European football next season and the Yellow Submarine will feel confident that they can continue their recent strong form at their Estadio de la Ceramica home when they host a Rayo Vallecano side with very little to play for in the dying stages of the campaign.

The visitors meanwhile have picked up just one league win on the road this calendar year – a 2-0 victory at Getafe in early January – and have failed to score in any of their last three on their travels. Villarreal have netted seven goals over their last three home fixtures and so should have enough firepower to see off Rayito, with a 2-0 winning scoreline drawing the eye.
