Coventry suffered FA Cup heartache in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday as they were denied a late winner over Manchester United by VAR. The Sky Blues had fought back from 3-0 down to take the game to extra time but had their hopes dashed when their 120th minute goal was disallowed.
Mark Robins’ men went on to lose on penalties and it will be a big ask for them to get a result from this clash with Hull considering it comes just three days after such a draining loss.
The hosts have also lost three of their last four league games as their form has deserted them at a crucial time in the Championship play-off race.
Hull have only lost three of their 15 away games against teams below them in the table and they should be able to record a success here.
Hull looking to put pressure on Norwich
Hull and Coventry are both in with a faint chance of securing a top six finish but both teams need to win here to overcome Norwich in sixth, Hull are six points behind with a game in hand on the Canaries while Coventry are nine points adrift with two matches in hand. The Tigers are fancied to keep their hopes alive with a victory over their rivals.
