AC Milan have won their last two meetings with Roma
AC Milan have won five of their last six home games.
Milan can claim first-leg victory
Milan should be able to gain the upper hand in this all-Italian Europa League battle.
They went out of a tough Champions League group on goal difference after finishing level on points with Paris St-Germain and have already scored 12 goals in four Europa outings against Rennes and Slavia Prague.
The Rossoneri have beaten Roma twice in Serie A this season, 2-1 in the capital city in September and 3-1 at home in January.
They have won their last seven games, scoring at least twice in their last four matches, and are second in the table, 13 points ahead of fifth-placed Roma.
Roma started out in this competition but failed to win two of their three away group games, losing at Slavia Prague and drawing against Servette, and this is a tougher test than their earlier knockout games against Feyenoord and Brighton. Milan are worth backing to secure a first-leg lead.
