The Clarets have avoided defeat in their last four games, beating Brentford and drawing with Wolves at home and earning a point at West Ham and Chelsea in that run, and their form could continue at Goodison Park, where Everton are on a five-match winless run in the Premier League.
Burnley have already faced the Toffees twice this season, once in the league and once in the League Cup, and lost to nil on both occasions. However, the two sides were in very different states during those meetings, with Burnley finding points hard to come at that time and Everton enjoying a healthy amount of wins in the period between the two meetings.
Fast-forward to the present day and it is the Clarets who have the momentum, with the Toffees on a 13-match winless run in the league. The door is open for Burnley to nick at least a point at Goodison, and they may oblige.

Everton are lacking identity at the moment. A 2-1 home loss to Luton is the low-point of their ongoing winless run and they are having real issues in front of goal, as evidenced in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Tuesday, where a Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty was their only route to goal in a match where they lost the shot count 18-10.
Toffees fans are growing frustrated as their side are now only hovering above the drop zone following their dreadful run and a loss to Burnley would see them sit just four points ahead of the Clarets.
Everton have netted just five goals in their last seven matches and could be undone by a growingly potent Burnley, who have scored seven in their last four outings, with that cutting edge likely to prove pivotal at Goodison.
Fofana fancied to find the net
A big reason for Burnley’s upturn in scoring has been the arrival of David Datro Fofana on loan from Chelsea. The Ivorian striker scored against both West Ham and Brentford before sitting out the trip to his parent club and he could expose a shaky Everton backline on Saturday.
The Toffees have conceded eight goals in their last four home matches and Fofana could find some joy against a poor backline, just as he did when netting a brace against Fulham back in February.
Burnley’s superior attack, with Fofana at the forefront of any good they do going forward, could be the difference at Goodison Park as they look to earn a valuable point – or even all three – on their way to enhancing their chances of Premier League survival.
