Stakes can hardly be higher for the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Roma on Thursday evening when they come across each other in the reverse game of the UEFA Europa League semifinal at BayArena.
On top of the final of the second-strongest continental competition, the chance of playing the Champions League football will be on the line for both outfits since neither Bayer nor Roma will secure the elite tournament through their domestic leagues.
Interestingly, both outfits have gone all in for the Europa League glory, resting some of their main stars in recent domestic fixtures.
Bayer Leverkusen will need to terminate their four-game winless thread across competitions if they want to advance after a 1-0 defeat seven days ago in Italian capital.
