Lazio will be hoping to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats to Torino and Inter Milan in the previous two rounds.
They are now just four points above the likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Roma who share the fourth position and a potential continuation of the losing streak may put the team’s top-four finish in jeopardize in the remaining six rounds of the competition.
I Biancocelesti will have a nice chance to rebound on Wednesday, though, as they play host to Sassuolo in Gameweek No 33.
Sassuolo somehow found a way to complete a late comeback against Empoli on Sunday. Domenico Berardi scored a couple of late goals, including the winner in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
The fact that I Neroverdi have completed a comeback with ten men on the pitch is fascinating and it should normally boost the team’s spirits ahead of the next match.
However, the fact is that Alessio Dionisi’s men have pretty much nothing but pride left to play for in the remaining six games of the season.
