Manchester City’s four-game winning streak was brought to an end at St James’ Park at the weekend, but Pep Guardiola’s side could bounce back in what is expected to be a high-scoring affair against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
The Citizens have scored 14 goals across their last seven games, but they have just one clean sheet to their name in this period and face a Bayer Leverkusen outfit that know how to find the net.
Free-scoring Leverkusen to strike in defeat
The Germans have started to find their feet following a period of transition after Xabi Alonso’s departure, and they head to Manchester off the back of three successive victories.
They have scored in 16 of their 17 games this season and in all four of the Champions League fixtures, and they should be able to give this fragile-looking City back line something to think about on Tuesday, making both teams to score the standout option at the Etihad.
