Torino broke into the top half of the Serie A standings after a run of three wins, one draw, and one loss in the last five matches.
They dispatched Sampdoria 2-0 and held Roma to a 1-1 draw in the last two league rounds. The team led b Ivan Juric will have a nice chance to continue their fine spell of form on Wednesday afternoon when they host the rock-bottomed Verona at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
We see Il Toro as quite big favorites here. They have continued the great spell of form in mid-season friendlies as well, going unbeaten in four matches during the World Cup break.
Torino particularly shined in the final check before the Serie A return, beating Monza 1-4 last week. Nikola Vlasic stole the show by completing a brace after coming on as a second-half sub on the occasion.
Hellas Verona, on the other side, hold the very foot of the Serie SA standings with just 5 points in 15 outings.
They have lost 12 of these 15 matches, conceding league-high 29 goals in the process. The attacking line was not much better in the first part of the season either, netting just 12 goals at the opposite end.
Verona took only two points in seven league games on the road, scoring only four goals along the way.
